Write Like You Talk

How to make your writings more popular?

Write like you speak.

If you want people to read and understand your writing, it is better to write in “spoken” language than “written” language.

What makes “written” language different from spoken language?

  • Complex sentences
  • Formal and distant tone
  • Different words
  • Fancy language

How to avoid writing in “written” language?

Simple.

Write like you talk.

Read it out loud and ask yourself “Is this something I would say to a friend?”
